Three employees were recently promoted at Winterthur U.S. Holdings, Inc., parent company of regional property and casualty insurers General Casualty (Sun Prairie) and Unigard (Bellevue, Wash.).
Geoff Barker was named assistant vice president of reinsurance management. Barker recommends coverage and pricing decisions for major reinsurance treaties. He has more than 17 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industries and joined the organization in 2004. Barker graduated from Hillsdale College (Mich.) with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and also earned a master’s degree in business administration (management) from Golden Gate University (San Francisco).
Tim Bremer has been promoted to vice president of the information services department’s technology and support division and will manage these functions. Bremer earned a bachelor’s (computer information systems) and a master’s degree (business administration) from Edgewood College (Madison, Wis.), respectively. He has been with the organization for 19 years and currently belongs to several information technology professional organizations.
Pam Esser was appointed assistant vice president of strategic business solutions. She leads a team of information services employees dedicated to developing and delivering automation projects. Esser earned degrees in computer programming and business administration and has 20 years of experience with the company.
